Windsurf rebranded as Devin Desktop — Cognition acquisition complete
Cognition rebranded Windsurf as Devin Desktop on June 2, 2026. windsurf.com now redirects to devin.ai. Cascade IDE is end-of-life July 1, 2026, replaced by Devin Local. Teams plan now $80/mo base + $40/mo per developer seat (was flat $40/seat). Pro $20/mo and Max $200/mo unchanged.
Continue acquired by Cursor — product shuttered
Continue was acquired by Cursor approximately June 23, 2026. The GitHub repo is now read-only with no new development. The continue.dev pricing page shows only an acquisition announcement. Community forks exist. Continue has been removed from VibeCompare's active tool listings.
Base44 prices corrected to monthly billing: Starter $20, Builder $50, Pro $100, Elite $200
Previously stored prices ($16/$40/$80/$160) were annual billing rates. Correct monthly billing prices are Starter $20/mo, Builder $50/mo, Pro $100/mo, Elite $200/mo. Annual billing saves ~20%.
Devin free tier updated — Devin Review and DeepWiki now Pro+ only
Free tier now includes limited agent coding quota and unlimited inline edits/Tab completions. Devin Review and DeepWiki are no longer included in the free tier — they require Pro ($20/mo) or above.
Cline adds ClinePass at $9.99/mo for curated open-weight model access
New optional ClinePass subscription ($9.99/mo) provides access to curated open-weight models (GLM 5.2, Kimi K2.7 Code, DeepSeek V4 Pro, MiniMax-M3, Qwen3.7) at 2–5× rate limits. Does not replace BYOK — it's supplemental. Core open-source tool remains free.
OpenAI adds ChatGPT Business plan at $25/mo (previously $30)
Business plan at $25/user/mo added to ChatGPT plans (which include Codex access). OpenAI cut Business from $30 to $25/mo on April 2, 2026. This plan was previously missing from our data.
JetBrains adds Business tiers: AI Pro Business $20/mo, AI Ultimate Business $60/mo
Two new Business-tier plans added: AI Pro Business at $20/seat/mo and AI Ultimate Business at $60/seat/mo. Individual plans (AI Pro $10/mo, AI Ultimate $30/mo) unchanged.
Qodo removes permanent free tier — now 14-day trial only
The permanent free tier (250 credits/month, 30 PR reviews/month) has been discontinued. New users get a 14-day free trial of Pro Team ($30/mo). Qualified open-source projects can apply separately for free access.
Kiro free tier restricted to limited model access
Kiro Free now provides 50 credits/month with access to open-weight models and Claude Sonnet 4.5 only (previously described as 'all models, rate-limited'). Paid plan structure and names unchanged (Pro $20, Pro+ $40, Pro Max $100, Power $200).
Google AI Ultra pricing split into two tiers: $100 (Developer) and $200
Google AI Ultra was $124.99/mo. Following Google I/O 2026, Ultra was split into two tiers: Google AI Ultra Developer at $100/mo (5× Pro limits) and Google AI Ultra at $200/mo (300 tasks/day, 60 concurrent). Jules pricing reflects these changes via bundled subscriptions.
